Guitar Speed Knobs

What Guitar Should I Get?
It’s Between two guitars. The B.C Rich IT Speed V laser flame
(http://www.promusicaustralia.com/guitar/BCrichImages/V_IT_Speed_LaserF.jpg)
or a tokai ex55
(http://musikaster.com/shop/images/Epiphone%201958%20Explorer.jpg)
I intend to upgrade the guitars with new tuners, pickups ( for the explorer, maybe a new pickguard) stuff like that.
I tend to play anything rock (led zeppelin, BLS, Queen) anything like that.
These are the main differences
B.C Rich
25 1/2 inch scale length
IT technology (research it)
apparently 2 volumes and one tone, but on the pic theirs only two knobs, help me on this
string through bridge
Tokai
24 3/4 scale length
set neck
2 volumes and one tone
tune o matic bridge
Btw intend to put in either emgs (Bls) or passives (maybe seymour duncans)
i have a crate v50 if it helps.
any other guitar suggestions are welcome but under £400 ($800) please.
The Tokai is not a bad guitar but the action was lousy and enough roon to park a car between the string and fingerboard. I killed the strings and put on Ernie Ball and fixed the intonation.
The angle of the top strap button seem quite akward, as if the strap would just fall off and what i did was put dunlop strap locks. All-in-all, it doesn’t compare to a Gibson flying V but bu changing the pickups with Seymour Duncan, I got a big fat sound out of it.
As for the B.C. Rich, I love the deep set neck which gives a lot of sustain andalthough it still is bolted on, it has double the sustain because it is set in very deep under the pickups.
The sound is super fat compared to Tokai and the finishand appearance is stunning. I didn’t have to tinker to much on the intonation since it was pretty well set.
All-in-all, this guitar is by far, a better buy than Tokai . The pickups are very gutsy andthe fingerboard is very smooth and fast.
Personally, I have an old ‘63 Gibson Les Paul , ‘62 Fender Strat, a Jackson and a B.C. Rich called The Beast. Now this guitar is amazing for the money.
Edit….as one poster states that BC Richis a metal guitar isout of touch. It has a solid Rock Zeppelin sound. It’s the musician that controls and decides how to play the guitar, how it should sound. The guitar has no input whatsoever but to sound as good as the guitar player himself.
