Fender Bass guitar up-grade question.?

When Fender up-graded their standard Mexican Precision Bass in 2009 what exctly did they do? I mean I have a 2008 model (now classed as the old version) and when I purchased a 2009 version the other day I was told it is an up-grade but didnt think to ask the shop what the difference was. Does anyone know what the difference is. Thanks.
