Guitar strap locks for an acoustic-electric?

I recently purchased an acoustic-electric guitar and it has a knob on the bottom, but not the top. I tied the to end to the nut, but it just doesn’t feel comfortable to me. Would adding locks/knobs to the guitar at the top of the body be a good idea? Making holes in the actual guitar seems to be a bad idea, since it has a hollow body. Would adding knobs to the guitar harm the sound?

Making holes in your guitar for the knobs is not a good idea. It would definitely effect the sound of the guitar. I suggest you consult the manufacturer for suggestions on hole placement and get a professional to do it if you decide to put another strap knob in.

If you find playing with the strap tied down behind the nut uncomfortable, try playing sitting down if possible. I guess you could also get one of those stands to hold the guitar in a playing position.
