MY QUESTIONS:
1:which one should i get? (For a beginner?)
and
2: if i do get the First guitar which color would be better?
other suggestions would be nice.
THANKS YOUS. dont be mean or i will be mean too(jkjk)
another question:
3: do i have to buy an amp seperately? and if so what would you suggest( not to expensive)!?
i am goiing to buy it at a store so i can try them out. thnx.
Please be careful buying a guitar. I have owned Squier guitars. They are not worth the money. The wood is third rate and the pickup/guitars come from a small remote asian country. The ratings you read on the online sites are from “beginners” who wouldn’t know a guitar from a shovel. Spend an extra hundred or two and get a base model Fender from Mexico. It is a good start. The next mistake beginners make is buying a cheap, beginners amp. They are horrible. A bad, cheap amp will make even a good guitar sound like chump change. The guitars of the greats like Clapton, Page, BB King and so on are not beginners guitars. I started off on a very good Bass (my brothers) with active electronics and a nice 150 watt amp. Even for a beginner I sounded great. I was amazed at how easy it was to play. I ran off and bought a Squier bass beginner kit. What a horrible pile of garbage. I couldn’t even sell it and get my money back. Step up. Learn on the best you can afford. Stay away from the “beginner” firewood. You will be thankful later..,.
Buy your first guitar from a music store. Not online. They can set it up for you. This makes a huge difference. Have them play it for you. See what it sounds like. Gives you a chance to check out the amps. Don’t buy the cheapest cables either. I like Monster. Next, you try a few simple cords. Does the neck fit your hand? Telecasters are not my favorite type. I think a Strat is a better choice. Some beginners have a problem with the middle pickup on the Strat model. If this is the case try a guitar with a couple of humbucker style pickups like a Gibson hardbody. Avoid entry level guitars!!!!!
